Morning walk in another neighborhood

I woke up early today to have a morning walk. My motivation was that I need to buy a bath soap and dishwashing paste because I ran out the other day and if I won’t buy it today, I would not take a bath, and taking in a sweltering days is something I wouldn’t dare to skip.  I felt like a possesed person waking up and going direclty at the bathroom to wash my face so I wouldnt go back to bed. I change to sports clothes and put on my shoes and head out. It’s 6:30 in the morning and the sun is just starting to shine. As I head out, I opened my Strava and put on the airphone and started listening to Sense and Sensibility audiobook. I’m in the part where the sister are heading to London to accompany Mrs. Jennings. And then I look up above. There I saw the old duhat tree, once again abundant of fruits like how it always is during summer. There are lots of crushed ones too in the ground, too! Just looking at it made me salivate and I asked myself “ Would it be too weird if they found me climbing it?” Just the thought send me to an adventury spirit and I suddenly think to myself I’m glad I drag myself out today. This is going to be a good day. I let my feet decide where it would take me, a few minutes later I found myself in another neighborhood. Right at the street opening, there are two trees framing the front of large ramen noddle house. The green of the trees and the red accent of the roof was such a good combination, it looks like a scene from a Ghibli movie. I took a photo of course. I walked around and around until I found this carenderia . There’s a red open door. I took a peek. It’s the kitchen opening and found the staff are busy preparing food. Its window seems to be inspired from old capiz windows. It was painted sky blue on white walls. The detail was too elegant for a carenderia. I took a peek at the menu and its said “5 star carenderia”. Well, that explains it. The waiters are all in black and too proffesional in my opinion, I thought I was in a fine dining restaurant. I wasnt planning on eating breakfast yet but I want to experience the 5 star carenderia. Not so long after I ordered food, a group of men about 50 years old seated together in one table. I can tell they are about to start their day of work and went their to eat breakfast. The waiter talked to them and I realized they are a regular customers. The lady who was there before me asked the guy who seems to be the oldest guy in the group what was in his lunchbox? He said “kanin lang ‘to”. I don’t know why but it felt so good just watching them. It was therefore just an ordinary conversation between human but I really got what they say “the magic in the mundane”.

I leave right away after I finished eating. The sun has fully shined and it’s starting to get hot so I need to buy what I need and go home. On my way home, I saw a flower blooming along the streets and I took a photo. When I look up, I saw a guy smiling at what I did, he caught my eye and I smiled shyly at him. I found the interaction so wholesome as I walk past him. I used to be so shy to take photos on the street but I guess I have outgrow that because I would rather try it than not at all as it means something to me. I did a quick shopping at grocery nearby and went home knowing that yes, I love mornings.
