My Instagram dilemma

At dinner tonight, my boyfriend told me I do change my mind easily. That was a response when I told him that I no longer wanted to post reels on Instagram. For the past two months, I’ve been trying to grow my Instagram account. I have collected 100+ followers since then. Yes, a hundred. Well, I did not post every day, and making videos is not my forte—but photos are not the best media to use when growing Instagram if you know. My Instagram account is also opened on his phone and he can see notifications from people liking and commenting on my videos. He probably thinks I am going nuts again–switching interests as I please. I could not blame him, he’s there when I get excited as I tell him my latest hobby and then later on waned my interest. I do love doing what I share in the Instagram community but the anxiety included in growing an account has gotten into me in the last few weeks. It felt like I was doing these to please these people I hadn’t met yet. The pressure of constantly being creative was exhausting. To top that, there are numbers that would tell you if you are doing a great job. I started having anxiety as I watched my account statistics report go down and up and down. I love sharing the slice of my daily life but I don’t think Instagram is the right platform to do that. Should I just open a Youtube channel?

Let's explore next time.

Yrai
