The morning after

The morning after heavy rains has become one of my favorites. The calm blue of the sky, the cold of the morning air, and the green of the trees are heightened in a lovely, lovely way only nature is capable of doing. It is always a perfect excuse for a long and slow morning walk to "collect the energy of the earth", (I forgot where I got this phrase, I'm sure in one of the books I read.)

Today, I made it purposeful by walking directly to the supermarket not so near to my place. It took me about 30 minutes to get there. The morning is just so lovely, I regret not having a quality camera to capture its beauty--next time, perhaps. I have photographed some of the produce I bought at least; they have garlic scapes, a rare occurrence, and the cherry tomatoes are sweet, too.
